Augmented-reality smartphone app Blippar has come up with a very innovative way to keep people entertained while travelling especially when you're at the airport terminal waiting to board a flight.

Scan your British passport using the 'Blipp' app, you'll a 3D plane taking off on your smartphone's screen. From there you can either play the an interactive holiday-inspired game to entertain yourself or just learn the language spoken in your travel destination. The app includes common phrases used in Spanish, French, Italian, Croatian and many more.

This is one amazing app and can be downloaded on any Android and iOS device. Sad that it was launched towards the end of the summer.

According to Jess Butcher of Blippar, "We wanted to create something fun, informative and engaging that any person travelling abroad could use."

This would be of great help especially with the kids around, it would surely keep them busy. "Kids often get bored at the airport and we wanted parents to be able to concentrate on enjoying their holidays and having fun with their kids instead of being stressed out."
