If you are wondering what is happening at Facebook's end... are they working on any cool service or testing a new feature, then we have a news for you.

Even before Facebook launched its Facebook card, it began testing a new feature, that combines status updates and emoticons together.

Facebook recently began testing a new status composer that lets users share their activities like feeling, watching, reading, listening to, drinking and eating with friends and family. For instance, if you are watching a movie with friends, you can select a related emoticon or symbol and add a description to it and post it on your Facebook wall. Sounds interesting, right?

This is feature is currently not available for everyone, there are just a handful of users who are lucky enough to be a part of this test.

These emoticons are quite similar to the emoticons that we use in Facebook chats, emails and text messages.

According to Facebook the test feature allows users to "share how they're feeling and what they're doing more visually."

This test feature came in the lime light when one of the user shared a status update with friends, exclaiming how ecstatic he was that the 49ers were in the Super Bowl with a star-eyed emoticon. Here's its screenshot:

Here's another screenshot of a status update of the same user about a movie he watched with a little film clapperboard icon:

One thing for sure if in future this feature rolls out for a larger audience, it's going to be a massive hit. Well, I can't hardly wait to use this feature, what about you?
