According to reports by AppleInsider, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities wrote a note to investors suggesting that Apple Inc may just want to take the tab-war to the next level by launching a 9.7-inch iPad 5 this year.
What the actual plan remains is still unclear but Apple is sure on a roll with its lightning-speed iPad launches in the market. There seems to be a pattern if only we read between the lines.
Most analysts are pinning their bets on a March release. However as rumors go, the launch date reamins contentious. Now watch this:
"the new iPad 4 was released in November 2012, just seven months after the iPad 3. And a new iPad 5 March 2013 release this would mean just five months between the iPad 4 and iPad 5 release date"
Anticipations are already running high. Here are the expected features that may be on offer in the fifth generation iPad:
1. LED Light Bar Retina Display
Rumors suggest that the newbie iPad will come with a single LED Light Bar unlike the earlier versions that had two. This adds to the color and brightness quotient of content display.
2. IGZO Display
The Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide-powered display helps define the device to have a higher resolution, using lesser power.
3. Light Weight
With a single LED Bar, iPad 5 will be able to optimize its space. The device typically comes with "one large battery with components inside and a display attached to it". However Apple has shown promise to cut back on these shortfalls by working out a better technology to bring a device that will be much lighter and thinner in its design.
4. iPad Mini Twin
Well not exactly a replica but the rumor mills suggest that the fifth generation iPad will be rolled out in various colors just like the iPhone 6 and iPod Touch. Design-wise it can supposedly resemble the iPad mini. Although why would Apple want to do a repeat telecast of its own product is an incomprehensible fact!
5. Gorilla Glass 3 Display
Most smartphones are vulneable to scratches that disfigure its screen display and the overall outlook. However iPad 5 is set to come with the Gorilla Glass that assures 40% lesser scratches.
Much before its actual unwrapping in the market, just like the Blackberry 10 launch, Apple's latest product-images have been leaked on the web. It could be a possible promotion gimmick by the Apple team themselves as the trend goes.
However it is an intelligent pre-success analytics tool that most mobile and technology corporations are employing just to gauge the success of their product way before the consumers judge them as a stud or dud! And in most cases it is the rumors that are afloat, there is enough corrective time with an honest critics opinion in place.
The real master punch will as always remain the price so that all the tech loyalists can grab some pieces by a dozen!
