With 2012 coming to an end, Google has released its 12 top Android apps for the year. This list includes some of the best apps available in Google Play.

From an app that allows you to share your personal style with the world to an photography app that allows you to edit and correct images, there are all sorts of apps in this list.

According to Google's merchandising manager, Tavares Ford, "Some launched in 2012 while others issued updates that achieved a great combination of utility, beauty and accessibility. Almost all of them are available globally and offer a great user experience on both tablets and phones. From excellent tools to objects of beauty, each of these applications represents the best of Google Play."
