Couple of months back we'd featured a Mohammad Ali's portrait that was created using 1300 boxing speed bags. Today we'd like to share another creative homage to a sportsperson: ex-NBA superstar, Yao Ming.

Hang Yi, a very creative artist, quite fascinatingly used a basketball and color red to create Yao Ming's portrait.

After releasing a video of her working on this portrait, Hang experienced an overwhelming social media experience, here what she has to say:

"Next thing I knew, my views shot up from 12k to 50k in a matter of a few hours, and the video was featured on the Huffington Post and Yahoo and NBC! I couldn't wrap my head around what was gong on before my eyes. The next crazy thing: Good Morning America and ABC news contacted me to request permission to show the video on their channels! I'm totally blown away by the power of social media." Check out the video below:
